The Minnesota Association of Christian Home Educators was formed in 1983 to encourage Christian families in the home education of their children.
MACHE (pronounced "Mah-shay'") is a statewide, facilitating organization for all parents who have chosen to homeschool.
MACHE is a Minnesota non-profit corporation, tax exempt under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

A Christian "face to face" support network serving homeschooling families in the Rochester MN area. Our support group meets monthly for fellowship, topical speakers, roundtable discussion, and more.
Early Childhood Homeschooling Opportunities (ECHO-MN)

An outreach group designed to help families with young children learn abouthomeschooling. Offers quarterly meetings, egroup communication, and connection with local support groups.
Our mission is to help others start local support groups in their area. We currently have open groups all over the metro area and are continually connecting people to start new groups. We also have a very active e-loop that can be joined thru our web site.
Requirements: Each group makes the decisions about how they run things, we give basic guidelines and ask members to make a group their own. The only requirements we have is once a group is formed, we are allowed to continue sending members to the group until the time comes to close to group due to the groups membership wishes. We also request that the groups be inclusive and value each member for their unique contribution.
Benefits: ECHO-MN, which is the umbrella group for all the local support groups, provides Children's Theatre tickets, class offerings, field trips and answers and support for all your homeschooling needs.
Home Educators and Youth (HEY)
Home Educators and Youth is a local support and information group serving all homeschoolers in NE Minnesota. We offer monthly parents' meetings, field trips, drama opportunites, co-op learning expereinces, a graduation ceremony and more. We send out a monthly newsletter and offer a largehomeschooling reference library.
Description: The goal of MAHE is to provide homeschooling families with the opportunity to share activities and events. We have regular meetings, go on a wide variety of field trips, attend educational events, perform community services, and share our homeschool experiences. Our group is open to everyone who is homeschooling in the Mankato area.
Requirements: This group is open to anyone homeschooling in the Mankato area, regardless of homeschool style. People who participate in the group are encouraged, but not required, to help plan at least one activity per year.
Benefits: One of the largest benefits of this group is the regular sharing of information relevant to homeschooling families about upcoming opportunities. Members can request to be contacted by phone or email when updates occur.
